naa i dunno, i had that probem but my vee brake mounts slide so i just moved the brake so that it cleared then moved the pads back to the right spot on the rim and it was fine. i don't know how i can help you though if your mounts dont move sorry.

i've had two different brakes on it, first i had an avid juicy 5 then i had and still do have a shimano xt vee brake, and odyessy monolever with an animal or odyessy cable.
